Founded in 1951 and originally housed in a tent, Pitlochry Theatre now occupies a beautiful building in a magnificent setting on the banks of the Tummel, surrounded by the spectacular hills and mountains of Highland Perthshire.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre presents a wide range of plays from farce to comedy to tragedy, as well as folk music from such nationally known artists as Aly Bain, Dougie McLean and Pete Clark. A different programme is presented each day of the week making this the true cultural centre of the Highlands.
