The Tay, along with its tributary the Tummel, forms one of the world's most famous salmon fishing river systems. Highland Perthshire has, however, much more to offer the angler - sea, brown, and rainbow trout and coarse fishing.

As well as on the rivers, fishing is available on beautiful hill lochs and at fisheries.

Southwood B&B, Pitlochry is well situated for fishing close to the Tummel just south of Pitlochry and directly opposite the East Haugh House Hotel which is a popular haunt of fishers from all over the world.
